V. Raja is president and CEO of GE Healthcare India, and managing director of Wipro GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare provides transformational medical technologies and services that are shaping a new age of patient care. With expertise in diagnostic imaging, healthcare IT and the life-sciences, GE Healthcare's broad range of products and services enable healthcare providers to better diagnose and treat cancer, heart disease, neurological diseases, and other conditions earlier.

At the helm of GE Healthcare in India, Raja has played a crucial role in so-called reverse innovation from India. GE's “In India, for India and the world” approach has resulted in several successful solutions that bring down costs, increase access and improve quality of healthcare in India — a critical need for India as well as other developing countries.

Raja's career spans three decades in diverse industries in India, including automotive tires, leather, food and beverage, and batteries. He has spent over eight years in the healthcare industry since moving to GE Healthcare in 2002 from GE India. Raja has held a variety of leadership positions at GE, including chief financial officer and business development leader of GE Lighting and GE India. Previously he worked at Unilever Group and Duracell, and had numerous roles in finance, sourcing, commodity buying and trading.

Raja is qualified chartered accountant and company secretary and a member of both institutions in India.

He is married and has two daughters.
