Jeff DeMarrais is GE Healthcare's Chief Communications Officer. In this role he oversees external, employee and executive communications. DeMarrais also works with external stakeholders to foster understanding of GE’s healthcare business around the world.
DeMarrais joined GE in 1997 as a publicity manager on NBC's corporate communications team and moved to GE Corporate in 1999 to lead the Company’s digital publicity efforts. In 2001, he was named GE Transportation's lead communicator and has served as the communications leader for GE's Specialty Materials (2003), Infrastructure (2004) and Plastics (2005) businesses. In each of these roles, he was responsible for both external and internal communications. In 2007, DeMarrais was named GE's director of media strategy and communications operations, focused on proactive public relations across GE and serving as the function's chief operating officer. Most recently, he served as GE Technology Infrastructure's executive director of global communications.
Prior to his GE career, DeMarrais led new media public relations efforts at John Wiley & Sons publishers. He holds a dual bachelor's degree in History and Spanish from Colgate University in the United States.
