Mike graduated from the University of Ireland in 1978 with Degrees in Business & Education. He joined Revlon Corp in Dublin and held positions in Finance and HR.

In 1981 he joined GE’s Human Resources Leadership Program and completed assignments in both the U.S. and Ireland. He received a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management in 1984. In 1985 Mike moved to the U.S. where he had a number of HR management assignments in the Plastics and Appliance businesses culminating in his being appointed as HR Manager for GE Plastics Noryl Business in Selkrik, NY in 1989.

Four years later he returned to Europe as HRM for GEP’s Manufacturing and Six Sigma operations based in BOZ, Netherlands. In October 1997 he moved to Singapore as HR Director for Plastics in the Asia/Pacific region. In February 2000, Mike was appointed Senior Human Resources Manager for GE Europe, Middle East & Africa, based in Brussels.

In April 2006, he was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources for GE International, responsible for GE’s Human Resources activities outside of the United States. Mike was appointed Vice President, Human Resources for GE Healthcare effective January 8, 2007.
