Thomas Hook General Manager GE Medical System’s Global PET
Tom is the General Manager of GE Medical System's Global PET business with overall responsibility for PET, PET-CT and Cyclotron business management. Tom joined GEMS as Global Business Development Manager leading the acquisitions of Lunar Corporation, SMV, ElGems and Parallel Designs in 2000. Prior to joining GE, Tom was the President of VanOwen Group Acquisition Company, which acquired and operated high-technology manufacturing and services companies. Prior to this, Tom worked at Duracell, Inc. for 7 years in a variety of technical & operations roles including Product Engineering and Manufacturing Management. Tom also spent 7 years as a Nuclear Engineer in the U.S. Navy. Tom completed his MBA at Vanderbilt University, a Masters degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York, post-graduate education in Nuclear Engineering and a BS degree in Chemistry & Mathematics from St. Bonaventure University.
