Dear Customer,

I am happy to present in this issue of IMAGES our focus on Clinical Excellence. We build into our products technologies which provide doctors a cutting edge to diagnose. These products are used by leading practitioners in universities, hospitals and clinics across the world.

Clinical experiences on our products and technologies are shared through our user seminars. We hosted Dr. Robert I. Serwick and Prof. Robert R.Edelman who spoke to our luminaries at Delhi and Mumbai on 3.0T MRI capabilities. We also hosted Dr. Lawrence Tannenbaum who conducted a one day seminar in Mumbai.

We migrate across platforms on technology breakthroughs. Ultrasound is one of the best examples of breakthrough migration in GE. BT 2001 technology is incorporated in our latest products L7 & L9 and VIVID 7. The India launch was at Bangalore with a seminar by Dr. Gara who spoke on the capabilities of the new TruScan technology from GE.

Clinical excellence and economic value are the foundation of our offerings in the South Asian market. I am happy to share that in the first 3 quarters of 2001, we have already crossed our Year 2000 revenue of US $ 200M and we head towards a 40% plus growth as we close the year this December.

We thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you at the forth coming conferences like CSI, SNC, FOGSI and others this year.
