Azim Premji,
Businessman of the Year 2000 award from Business India
Mr. Azim H. Premji, Chairman,
Wipro was awarded the Businessman of the Year 2000 award from Business
India.
Mr. Premji in response to
the award said, “I am very honoured to accept this prestigious award.
I am also proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts put in by the team
of professionals in Wipro who have contributed to the success”.
He shared seven basic principles
of his leadership style.
- You must always
have the courage to think big.
- You must never
compromise on fundamental values, no matter what the situation is.
- You must build
tremendous self confidence.
- You must surround
yourself with the best people.
- You must have
an obsessive commitment to Quality.
- You must play
to win.
- The most important
facilitator of success is the blessing of a force beyond us.
Mr. Premji is being
awarded on January 5, 2001 an Honorary Doctorate (DSc honoris causa) by
MAHE.

Highlights
RSNA is world’s largest
Radiology show, which was held in Chicago from November 26 to December
1, 2000. GE displayed the latest technology systems :

digital technology that reduces X-ray dose significantly and give better
diagnostics, capability stole the X-ray show.

TwinSpeed, a new dimension in performance and patient comfort which
combines cardiac, neuro and general purpose applications.

decreased acquisition time and thinner slices.
- Ultrasound range
included the LOGIQ ALPHA 100MP, manufactured from India for the global
market.
