GE Employees Initiate Social Responsibility Program in Bangalore
GE ANNOUNCED THE LAUNCH of The Elfun (Electrical Fund) Chapter on 20th May, 1999 in Bangalore at the Tata Auditorium. Asia’s largest chapter with 290 members, Elfun was officially launched by Mr. Jeffrey R Immelt, President & CEO, GE Medical Systems. Three voluntary blood donation camps were arranged at the launch, where over 150 employees from GE businesses in Bangalore donated blood. Mr. D A Prasanna, President, GE Medical Systems - South Asia and South East Asia, is the Chairman of Elfun - Bangalore Chapter.
Elfun is a global organization of GE employees (over 40,000 members in 18 countries), committed to improving the community, their company and their lives through leadership and camaraderie.
