Chapter 1: MRI Techniques for Orthopedic Imaging

1.7 - Conclusion
MR imaging is a complex process, and involves a wide array of imaging choices. It is necessary to have a good understanding of the interplay between the imaging parameters in order to achieve optimized protocols and image quality. This chapter explains the relationship between intrinsic tissue parameters and the extrinsic imaging parameters that may be selected by the user. Understanding this relationship can help to improve the quality of images, and also aid in interpretation.
