The SmartPrep2000 Option is designed to optimize Contrast Enhanced MR (CE-MRA) Angiography Exams by Synchronizing Bolus Arrival and Image Acquisition. Automated Table Stepping is also supported for Peripheral Vascular Imaging.

SmartPrep2000:
SmartPrep2000 Upg:

Features:
  • The ability to automatically track a Bolus of Contrast and then automatically trigger the 3D CE-MRA acquisition without requiring user input
  • The ability to perform either Single or Mult-Station 3D CE-MRA with options for Multi-Phase Acquisitions and Optimized Fat Suppression
  • Automated Table Motion and Phased Array Surface Coil Switching to "Chase" a Single Contrast Bolus through Multiple Locations
  • Exclusive Elliptic Centric View Ordering* optimizes data collection to maximize Vessel Contrast during the Arterial Phase and reduces signal from unwanted Venous return
    * Elliptic Centric View Ordering is Standard w/8.3 LX Software
  • The ability to perform unique MultiStation GRx with 3D Multi- Station Multi-Angle and optimized MultiStation tuning to Optimize Scan Geometry to the Patients Anatomy
  • Advanced Image Processing that includes the ability to Subtract Pre-contrast or Post-Contrast scans to enhance Vessel conspicuity

Contrast Enhanced 3D MRA Applications:

  • Pulmonary Arteries
  • Renal Arteries
  • Aorta and Great Vessels
  • Abdominal Arteries
  • Illiac Arteries
  • Peripheral Vascular Runoffs

Benefits of SmartPrep2000:
  • Scan is automatically started with the arrival of the Contrast Bolus Arrival in the anatomy of Interest
  • Eliminates the Need for Time Consuming Test Bolus Injections
  • Automated Table Stepping and Coils Switching for Peripheral Vascular Exams
    • Reduced Technologist Workload through Automation
    • Faster Station to Station Transitions (5-7 seconds)
    • Single Dose Contrast Injections
    • Compatible with USA Instruments Phased Array Peripheral Vascular Coil
  • Elliptic Centric View Ordering Reduces scan sensitivity to unwanted Venous enhancement
    • Contrast Information concentrated in to first 10% of Scan for Increased Arterial Weighting
    • Receiver BW can be narrowed for Increased SNR
    • Higher Resolution Exams can be Acquired
    • Potential for Reduced Contrast Dose
  • Image Subtraction Eliminates signal from Background tissue or Venous Return
  • Oblique 3D Scan Prescription supported to match Scan Geometry to Patient Anatomy
  • SPECIAL Fat Suppression For Increased Background Suppression.

Prerequisites:

  • Signa LX 8.3 Software
