Pascale Witz is the President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare’s Medical Diagnostics business (MDx), and an officer of the General Electric Company. MDx is a $2bn global leader in pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostics which are used by physicians in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of disease. Its 5,000 employees are dedicated to manufacturing and marketing contrast media and molecular imaging agents, as well as providing advanced oncology molecular diagnostics and pathology services through Clarient. Pascale joined GE Healthcare (GEHC) in 1996. Prior to joining MDx in April 2009, she served successfully in a number of senior management roles, including leading GEHC’s Functional Imaging (Nuclear Medicine and PET) business in EMEA, the CT (Computed Tomography) business in EMEA, and the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology business globally. Prior to joining GE, Pascale worked in a molecular biology research laboratory, and spent five years in the pharmaceutical industry. Pascale is an active leader in the GE Women's Network and serves on its executive board. The GE Women's Network boasts a membership of over 180,000 women globally with a goal of focusing on the professional development of women throughout the company. Pascale holds a Master’s degree in life sciences/molecular biology from INSA Lyon, and an MBA from INSEAD. |
