Ultrasound for Women's healthcare

Ultrasound for Women's Healthcare

Breast imaging is one of the fastest growing applications of ultrasound. GE Healthcare is the world’s leading provider of ultrasound technology, including the high-performance LOGIQ 9, LOGIQ 7 and Voluson systems. Their superb image quality displays the detail resolution and tissue contrast differences that are critical to support the early detection, visualization and assessment of breast disease.

Products and Applications

GE is delivering a new age of ultrasound technology called Volume Ultrasound by combining the industry’s most advanced system platforms, (LOGIQ and Voluson) multi-dimensional image applications and new 4D and Matrix array technologies.

Features for Oncology

Biopsy. Ultrasound is the primary modality for image guided biopsy procedures. With GE ultrasound, clinicians can easily align the needle position in real time to biopsy breast lesions with greater precision and speed.

Real-time volume acquisition

Real Time volume acquisition of a breast carcinoma with VCI

GE’s patented Volume Contrast Imaging provides a homogenous, contrast-rich image that allows precise assessment of breast lesion size and clear visualization of the internal structures, enabling clinicians to identify subtle changes in adjacent structures.

Raw Data

Ultrasoung WHC Raw Data

Raw data processing for workstation

GE’s exclusive ability to capture Raw Data allows a virtual rescan of the patient at any time after the study, both on the scanner as well as on a remote workstation. Raw Data, along with volume imaging protocols, can significantly increase productivity and improve diagnostic confidence.

Volume Calculation II (VOCAL II)

VOCAL II increases the speed and accuracy of volume assessments by automatically calculating volumes based on a quick fingertip tracing of the region of interest. It allows you to measure and monitor the size of the lesions throughout the course of treatment.
