Heliox therapy can help provide a great benefit to treating severe respiratory disorders.
The Aptaér Heliox Delivery System helps make the treatment more efficient and more affordable than ever.

The Aptaér Heliox Delivery System uses a premixed blend of heliox from a source gas cylinder and delivers it to a spontaneously breathing patient through a sealed facemask. The system provides pressure support to further reduce inspiratory effort.

Clinicians can tailor therapy to the patient’s needs using four selectable values:

  • Pressure support helps patient’s spontaneous breathing effort by delivery of a set pres-sure when patient takes a breath
  • Trigger helps clinicians adjust sensitivity to match the patient’s inspiratory effort
  • Rise defines how rapidly the patient can inhale
  • End flow determines when a breath terminates

The Aptaér Heliox Delivery System integrates the Aeroneb‚ Pro, by Aerogen, Inc., inline aerosol generator for delivery of medication within the breathing circuit. The device pro-duces a fine-droplet, low-velocity aerosol without using propellants, compressors or ultra-sonic elements.

The Aptaér Heliox Delivery System provides one efficient delivery method for a wide patient population. Machine calibration is simple; therapy can be started easily and quickly.
The process is highly automated and takes the guesswork out of gas delivery, helping clinicians use the system with a higher degree of confidence than other, home-made systems. Compact size makes the unit easy to move and to position in care areas.
