The Definium 5000 maximizes its compact size to provide digital image quality at an efficient dose. The rotating U-arm combines with automated features to enhance productivity in a powerful, affordable X-ray imaging system.
Configurable footprint allows imaging system to fit into small spaces
Shared Definium platform promotes technologist productivity with digital quality X-rays
Cost-effective and flexible imaging solution
Automatic Productivity
The Definium 5000 includes automated tools to increase productivity, workflow and image consistency. It is based on GE’s leading-edge digital platform, giving you advanced technology in an easy-to-use system.
Just the Right Fit
The Definium 5000 has a compact, floor-mounted, U-arm positioner. It fits into smaller rooms without the need of ceiling support structures. This reduces equipment and building costs.
Automated steps eliminate tasks associated with film and cassette X-ray systems:
Auto positioning with 99 pre-programmed positions
Auto protocol recognition automatically populates from RIS
Auto image processing delivers image consistency
Flexible, configurable footprint eases patient and technologist stress even during the most challenging exams:
Sitting, standing or cross-table patient exams
Variable SID – 40 in. to 72 in.
U-arm rotates 150 degrees
Digital bucky angles +/- 45 degree
TECHNOLOGY
GE's patented, fully integrated detector is at the heart of the Definium 5000 system. Single-panel cesium iodide construction helps eliminate blind zones. It combines high image quality while enabling on-board image processing applications.
In the low-to-mid spatial frequency, GE digital detectors provide a clear image with an efficient dose when compared to film/screen, computed radiography and flat panel Selinium-based imaging systems.
Square shape allows for faster and easier positioning
Single piece construction delivers reliability and complete coverage within the 16 inch by 16 inch active image area.
Increased productivity – 60% reduction in exam time compared to CR and film
Cesium iodide scintillator for optimized image quality
Pixel size for high resolution and low noise
APPLICATIONS
Image Paste
Optional Image Paste software enables multiple exposures to be combined into a single image for long bone and scoliosis studies. This allows technologists to acquire images contiguously or with overlap for complete long studies.
