Hard-copy documentation comes from a stationary solid-state printing head

The PRN 50 digital writer provides printing of physiologic waveforms and patient alphanumeric information.

The microprocessor-driven thermal print head translates digitized data directly into graphic forms on the 50mm paper. In contrast to conventional printers, in which movement of the mechanism can distort waveforms and compromise accuracy, the PRN 50 digital writer produces distortion-free hardcopy documentation with its stationary, solid-state printing head. The only moving part on the otherwise completely electronic device is the paper drive, which operates at eight different speeds.

The PRN 50 digital writer graphs up to four real-time waveforms simultaneously for efficient comparison of individual physiologic parameters. Up to 3 real-time CardioRespiroGraphy waveforms are able to be printed. The PRN 50 digital writer generates hardcopy printouts of stored information, including trended parameters, arrhythmia information, cardiac, pulmonary and dose calculations, and arrhythmia, alarm parameter and limits setup.

The writer prints data on a calibrated grid to ensure proper waveform alignment on the paper. It also automatically prints numeric graticule increments for quick and easy waveform assessment.

Replacing paper is simple; just remove the spent roll, replace it with a fresh supply and the PRN 50 digital writer is ready to resume operation. The PRN 50 digital writer is designed to be used with the Eagle®, CD Telemetry-LAN, ApexPro Telemetry systems, Centralscope and Clinical Information Center (CIC) systems.
