Each patient needs specific optimized ventilation during anesthesia and respiratory care. GE Healthcare gives you a unique tool - Patient Spirometry - to help promote this optimization. Patient Spirometry provides continuous and non-invasive measurements of real patient values for pulmonary mechanics and ventilation. GE Healthcare provides four types of patient spirometry sensors:

A continuous gas sample is drawn through the sampling port of the D-lite sensor with a rate of 200 ml/min for gas analysis of inspiratory and expiratory gas concentrations. The pressure is measured through two pressure measurement ports (= Pitot tubes) of the D-lite/Pedi-lite sensor. The pressure difference of the flow passing through the D-lite during inspiration and expiration is measured and flow velocity is calculated. |
