Volume Reconstruction Engine

Volume Reconstruction Engine

Discovery MR750 meets today’s challenge of storing and processing huge multiphase 3D datasets, thanks to reconstruction innovations that take full advantage of computing power by leveraging software and hardware technology for faster reconstruction (5400 fft/sec), higher resolution and a large number of phases.

Discovery MR750 expands the usable memory to 32 GB by executing the reconstruction in a 64-bit mode. Enabling 64-bit computation in reconstruction along with the increase in bulk acquisition memory (BAM) expands computational capabilities and improves reconstruction speed.

ARCTM Parallel Imaging

ARC (Auto Calibrating Reconstruction for Cartesian imaging), the recently developed parallel imaging technique by GE Healthcare, is a remarkable hybrid parallel acquisition and reconstruction technique, which speeds up acquisition while reducing artifacts traditionally related to parallel imaging.

  • Innovative data driven parallel imaging technique
  • Full Hybrid 3D Kernel for faster and more accurate reconstruction

Optical RF Technology

Optical RF Technology

OpTix: GE Healthcare’s remarkable optical RF technology for greater Signal-to-Noise Ratio.

The Discovery MR750 3.0T Optical RF system was designed to enhance most of these critical aspects of MR image acquisition. It offers excellent dynamic range and noise immunity, greater signal detection with faster data transmission and patient workflow improvements; therefore constituting a great platform for advanced clinical use and research and development.

Benefits
Greater signal detection with faster data transmission

The Optical RF system improves SNR by up to 27% over conventional, non optical MR receivers by reducing electrical noise and improving signal detection.

Patient Workflow Improvements

The Discovery MR750 coil interface is augmented with 4 new high-density coil connectors. These new 32-channel connectors in the Optical RF system are distributed on the magnet system and foot of the Discovery MR750 patient table, the industry’s only fully detachable MR table with two 32 channel coil connectors for simplified exam preparation. Each connector provides mechanical assistance for simple insertion and extraction for high-density, multi-station scanning of the entire body. This allows the technologist to fully prepare a patient outside of the room.
