InstaTrak 3500
 |
Electromagnetic surgical navigation system for ENT and Cranial procedures
Simple and Reliable. GE's InstaTrak® 3500 Surgical Navigation system is made up of a high-powered computer system, specialized software, and patented electromagnetic tracking technology. Electromagnetic tracking can be compared to a global positioning system (GPS) in a car, which allows the driver to see his or her exact location on a virtual roadmap. |
In surgical navigation, medical images created by CT or MRI imaging systems are used to build an anatomical "roadmap." As the surgeon's instruments travel within the patient's body during a procedure, the InstaTrak system tracks their exact position, which is displayed on a high-definition monitor in the surgical suite or operating room. With the ability to track surgical instrumentation, surgeons can more safely perform delicate procedures without damaging critical surrounding structures such as arteries and nerves. |
| GE's advancements in surgical navigation offer many benefits for both the surgeon and patient, but none more important than allowing surgeons to safely treat many conditions that years ago would have been considered impossible. |

Cranial navigation
GE's cranial navigation system is designed to enhance your surgical performance, without complicating operative setup or technique. Featuring a simple user interface and robust technological platform, our system is the perfect choice for the neurosurgeon performing craniotomies, skull base, shunt placement and biopsy procedures. |

AccuMatch™ Markerless Registration
AccuMatch Markerless Registration offers accuracy, flexibility, and simplicity. Designed for use with GE’s Cranial and ENT navigation software, AccuMatch quickly and simply guides you through the registration process, helping you navigate in a matter of minutes. Using advanced software technology and a robust computer system, hundreds of points are collected on the patient’s skin surface and match with data contained in their pre-operative CT or MR scan. The software then calculates the registration matrix, and the process is complete. |

ENT surgical navigation from GE Healthcare
Designed for sinus surgery and advanced ENT applications, GE's surgical navigation system will enhance your confidence and ability to perform more thorough and challenging procedures. Providing 3-Dimensional visualization enables you to locate and avoid critical structures, such as the optic nerve and brain, while safely navigating your way to the diseased area. |
|
BENEFITS
 |
|
The GE InstaTrak Surgical Navigation System is an advanced technology used during Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Cranial procedures. Surgeons use the system to clearly visualize the patient's anatomy and the exact position of their surgical instruments within the anatomy. |
|
| Electromagnetic (EM) Tracking Technology has set an impressive standard for surgical navigation. Without the restrictions associated with line-of-sight technologies, communication is not lost between the transmitter and receiver when in the EM field. This translates into continuous navigation throughout the procedure, regardless of personnel, instruments or equipment that are introduced into the field. Electromagnetic tracking requires little to no effort during pre-operative setup; simply plug in the sensors (transmitter and receiver) and turn on the system. |
Ease of Use
Designed to complement your skills, not complicate the procedure, our cranial navigation system features a simple user interface, allowing you to access and utilize advanced system features, without extensive training. Featuring AccuMatch markerless registration, the registration can be completed in a matter of minutes.
• AccuMatch markerless registration improves accuracy by automating the registration process and reducing the possibility of human error
• Compact all-in-one design saves on OR real estate
• 18" Touch screen with 42" articulating arm for optimal positioning
• Twelve tracking layouts provide customized views for each procedure
• Quick and simple setup; less than 5 minutes
Note: The InstaTrak 3500, as well as EM and AccuMatch software and technology, are currently not available for sale or distribution. |
