Acquisition

Scanner: DiscoveryTM CT750 HD

CT acquisition:

  • kV/mA: 100/650
  • Coverage 140 mm
  • Recon: HD & ASIR
  • Dose: 2.1 mSv (with 10 ms padding)
  • BMI 24.5

Contrast injection parameters:

Change 3-phase injection: 80 ml of iodine contrast at 5 cc/sec then 30 ml of iodine/flush at 4.5 cc/s and 30 ml of saline flush at 3.5 cc/sec

Conclusion

In this case, the CT750 HD image quality helped us with our assessment of plaque and provided good accuracy on stenosis quantification.

About CCN

The Centre Cardiologique du Nord (CCN) clinic has 182 beds and is specialized in cardio-vascular disease and perform also oncology studies. The centre performs 3000 cardio-vascular surgical procedures and 1600 angioplasties per year. CCN has been a pioneer in cardiovascular CT since 1999, and continues to optimize acquisition and processing techniques to make these procedures more efficient. They recently have installed the CT750 HD, that allows them to reach a new standard of image quality while reducing the dose.
