Acquisition

Scanner: DiscoveryTM CT750 HD

CT acquisition:

  • kV/mA: 120/AutomA 130-370 mAs
  • Coverage 335 mm
  • Recon: HD & ASIR
  • DLP: 634.49 mGy.cm

Contrast injection parameters:

2-phase injection: 50 ml of iodine contrast at 4 cc/sec & 30 ml of saline flush at 3 cc/sec

Conclusion

In this case, CT750 HD allows a very good differentiation of lumen, soft plaque and calcified plaque – helping us in our assessment of plaque and in stenosis quantification.

About CCN

The Centre Cardiologique du Nord (CCN) clinic has 182 beds and is specialized in cardio-vascular disease and perform also oncology studies. The centre performs 3000 cardio-vascular surgical procedures and 1600 angioplasties per year. CCN has been a pioneer in cardiovascular CT since 1999, and continues to optimize acquisition and processing techniques to make these procedures more efficient. They recently have installed the CT750 HD, that allows them to reach a new standard of image quality while reducing the dose.
