LightSpeed™ VCT XTe*
Proven today. Prepared for tomorrow.

Today, thousands of LightSpeed VCT systems serve the clinical demands of healthcare providers around the world. Offering new levels of speed, power and coverage, it has earned the distinction as the industry’s system of choice. Moving forward, by adopting key Discovery™ HD technologies, the LightSpeed VCT XTe* furthers the ability to perform advanced clinical exams while producing routine exams with reliable speed and consistency. It will remain on the forefront of computed tomography.

A fundamental shift in low-dose image quality

Lowering radiation dose used to mean sacrificing image quality — but not anymore. The LightSpeed VCT XTe offers a bold new paradigm, bringing clinicians high-quality images at a low dose.

Typically, dose reduction causes an increase in noise and image artifacts. But GE’s powerful Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASiR) solves this by actually subtracting noise, not merely masking it. As a result, ASiR delivers enhanced image quality and improved low contrast detectability (LCD) while preserving anatomic detail.
Up to 40% less dose with no compromise in image quality.
Empowered by the new Xtream™ HD console, ASiR allows for low-dose scanning across all anatomies and patients with no loss of image quality. The result is better patient care with a dramatic reduction in dose made possible by GE.

Protocols for all ages

In addition to ASiR’s power to lower dose, the LightSpeed VCT XTe offers procedure-based protocols. Particularly important in pediatric applications, these protocols help clinicians balance dose and image quality to optimize patient care.
