The use of low flow anesthesia is a growing clinical trend over the world. This trend is driven by the goals of controling costs and minimizing the environmental impact of anesthetic agents. Medical soda lime is used in anesthesia system rebreathing circuits, to absorb carbon dioxide. GE Healthcare offers a broad range of high-quality soda lime products, all containing Medisorb.
Medisorb CO2 absorbent is:
-
Designed for safety. It only contains calcium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide and water. It does not contain potassium hydroxide (KOH). Medisorb has also a very low dust content.
-
User-friendly. The Medisorb products come in variants to help address individual needs: single-use Compact Absorbers, single-use Multi Absorbers Prepackaged Cartridges and Twin Packs of loose soda lime. All products are suitable for GE Healthcare's anesthesia systems.
-
Cost-effective. The carbon dioxide absorption capacity of Medisorb is high, which means maximum duration for every product. This high absorption capacity is achieved by the graded particle size, which has a high surface area.
