GE Healthcare offers several different combined HME and filters (HMEF): HMEF 1000, HMEF 750, HMEF 500 and HMEF Mini. All HMEFs are designed for applications in critical care, respiratory care and anesthesia. All are HME / filter combinations and provide excellent moisture output for tidal volumes up to 1000 ml. GE Healthcare HMEFs also help provide efficient protection for both the patient and the equipment against various types of particles present in the breathing circuit.

An important advantage of the GE Healthcare HMEFs is low weight. With total weights ranging from 14 to 24 grams, the HMEFs put very little strain on the ET-tube, which is important for patient comfort.

GE Healthcare HMEFs are designed to help facilitate connection to different ventilators and anesthesia systems. All materials are carefully selected to be environmentally friendly when incinerated.
