Building off the proven technology of the Aestiva/5 anesthesia system, the Aestiva/5 MRI is one of the few MRI compatible anesthesia systems with a fully functional, integrated ventilator. Validated for use in the MRI environment (300 Gauss, up to 3T active shielded magnet), the Aestiva/5 MRI uses the same interface and software as its OR counterpart, the Aestiva/5. This provides the familiarity that customers have requested and helps minimize the learning curve associated with other MRI specific machines.

The Aestiva/5 MRI uses the SmartVent 7900 ventilation technology offering volume control ventilation with tidal volume compensation, pressure control ventilation and electronic PEEP. These advanced features allow for the ventilation of a broad patient range: from neonates and compromised patients to routine cases. Completing the portfolio are the optional support modes of Pressure support and Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation.

Its compact size, small footprint and integrated breathing circuit enables the Aestiva/5 MRI to be easily moved between MRI suites and operating rooms, providing a flexible solution for clinicians.
