AngioViz

AngioViz – A new visualization of Vascular Flow

AngioViz is the latest application from GE for vascular flow visualization from 2D DSA images. It produces color-coded parametric images representing time to peak, maximum pixel opacification, and a combination of these parameters to assist you in the visualization of vascular flow.

Do you need to visualize the entire path of blood flow in one single image?

AngioViz and supports rapid decision-making. It can help in a variety of clinical situations

  • See how a blocked artery diminishes blood flow in the brain or other tissue
  • Identify the timing and amount of blood flow in abnormal vascular anatomy such as ArterioVenous Malformation
  • Visualize artery blood flow before and after balloon angioplasty and stenting
  • Observe flow in tissue before and after treatment to support interventional treatment

See it in action…

Based on DSA series, AngioViz displays various parametric color coded images.

Peak Opacification Image
The Peak Opacification image displays the peak pixel value from the DSA series mapped to a color scale representation. It is easy to display both arterial and venous, or arterial or venous anatomy separately.

Time to Peak Image

The second major parameter is the time it takes each pixel to reach the Peak Opacification value.
This time value for each pixel is mapped to a color scale to provide better visibility of flow.

Time to Peak Fusion Image

This image combines the parameters of Time to Peak and Peak Opacification producing one image view showing both the vascular flow and the level of opacification.

  • Time is color-displayed according to a pre-set color scale
  • The degree of opacification is displayed proportionately to the color brightness: the higher the opacification, the brighter the color on the image

AngioViz also offers easy synchronization of different DSA acquisitions, such as pre- and post-treatment images. This can help you understand the impact of various interventional treatments on flow dynamics.

AngioViz works with the AW Save State feature so that if processing is interrupted for any reason, the operator can go back to the same point in seconds. AngioViz images can also be stored in a variety of formats or exported from the AW.

AngioViz is a user friendly, integrated solution with a wide range of utility.

  • Process DSA series from any part of the body
  • Select any parametric image in one second
  • Activate in a simple one-click and operate intuitively
  • Process biplane DSA series to produce matching parametric images
  • Synchronize pre and post series to help understandthe impact of interventional treatments
