Systems

  • Movable gantry puts clinicians in control.

    • Precise and predictable motion of the laser-guided gantry for unmatched positioning flexibility
    • No obstruction on the floor nor the ceiling for a versatile motion
    • Easy to use controls with integrated user interface for gantry and table movements3
  • Excellent patient access for interventional and surgical procedures.

With the Discovery IGS 7 OR, you can truly have it both ways: Move the gantry to the table for imaging, move it aside when needed - and all at the touch of a button. From the imaging positions at the table, you can back the gantry out to up to eleven predefined locations.4 Back-out distances are customizable to suit different room sizes.
  • Teams work better with nothing in their way.

The Discovery IGS 7 OR gives physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists and technologists ample space to work together effectively. Clinicians can position on either side of the patient, according to preference. With the offset C-arm, the anesthesiologist can work comfortably at the patient's head.
  • A wide-bore C-arm expands your options

With a full 129 cm (50 in) SID (Source to Image Distance), the Discovery IGS 7 OR features one of the largest bore among major angiography providers. It provides collision-free 3D imaging to let you image large patients easily and perform cone-beam CT acquisition even for patients with arms down and intubated.5
  • Offset C-arm

With its unique offset C-Arm, the Discovery IGS 7 OR enables improved access to patient head in complex interventions and helps cover head to groin without moving the gantry.
  • Optimal detector size adds clinical versatility

With the 31 x 31 cm (12.2 in.) detector, the Discovery IGS 7 OR is designed for a wide range of cardiovascular and interventional procedures. You can perform steep angulations for cardiac procedures, without compromising detector coverage for peripheral vascular procedures.

With its broad 41 x 41 cm (16.1 in.) detector, the Discovery IGS 7 OR system boasts one of the largest fields of view in the industry to image large anatomies in a single image.

  • Simple, centralized, automated controls

Easy to use controls for synchronized gantry and table6 movements through a single user interface with Discovery Control Center.
  • Expanding procedure mix while securing the OR utilization

The Maquet Magnus operating table system,6 expands clinical breadth of the hybrid OR to fit the needs of virtually any surgery and interventional specialty. Together with the Discovery IGS 7 OR, it can help your hospital expand its services to innovative minimally invasive techniques in order to attract more patients and physicians, while securing the operating room utilization.

The Discovery IGS 7 OR is fully integrated3 with the 360° radiolucent flat tabletop 1180.16A2/F2 and with the universal tabletop 1180.10A0/F0 with attachment 1180.37A0/F0.

The flat tabletop is suited for interventional, minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgical procedures The universal tabletop is suited for minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgical procedures

  • Seamless integration for advanced imaging

Easy to use controls for synchronized gantry and table6 movements through a single user interface. Isotilt with Isocenter tracking and Incidence keeping in tilted positions7

  • Dynamic adaptation of collision management, tailored to each patient head positioning, enables smooth 2D and 3D imaging with skull clamp6

OR Solutions

1. The flat tabletop is suited for interventional, minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgical procedures.
The universal tabletop is suited for minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgical procedures.
2. 3D fusion image guidance requires additional products that require AW workstation.
3. There are performance claims that can be met only with one of the Maquet Magnus OR table system tabletop compatible with Discovery IGS 7 OR. Always refer to the product data sheet specifications applicable to the specific tabletop from Discovery IGS 7 OR and from Maquet Magnus OR table system.
4. System is delivered with default settings. Customization requires a GE representative
5. Collision management features are not intended to be a substitute for careful equipment operation
6. Maquet Magnus table and skull clamp are sold by Getinge
7. Isocenter tracking and Incidence keeping work only with 1180.16A2/F2 radiolucent flat tabletop.
8. 35m ² rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 back-out. Space left for additional equipment may be limited.
