Welcome to RSNA. I would like to spend a few minutes giving you an overview of the exciting highlights X-ray will be showing at RSNA in the areas of Rad, R&F and Vascular. GE Medical Systems X-ray continues to deliver new, innovative solutions and advanced applications employing the advantages of the latest technologies.
In the area of RAD, we are showcasing the Revolution XR/d, our latest digital rad system based on our proven Flat-Panel detector technology. The Revolution digital detector leads the industry in DQE and has Fast Frame-Rate Acquisition capabilities. Our unique digital detector was designed to enable advanced applications giving us the ability to offer the industry Dual Energy and Tissue Equalization.
Dual energy is a subtraction technique based on the different characteristics of soft tissue and bone. The acquired data delivers three images: a standard chest image, a soft-tissue image with the bones removed, and a bone image to assist physicians in accurate diagnosis.
In vascular, we are showing our Single Plane Angiography System, the LCA+, with 3D imaging capabilities. This system is designed to provide excellent image performance for basic and advanced 3D applications addressing the ever expanding interventional case loads.
To assist interventionalists in accurate clinical diagnosis, we are showcasing several works in progress for 3D advanced imaging applications. XMR FUSION combines two traditional modalities by registering and fusing 3D X-ray, and MR data sets to aid physicians in areas such as Stroke Treatment. 3D STENT ANALYSIS is another works in progress to enable better assessment of stent-based interventions. Our third works in progress is 3D BONE RECONSTRUCTION for non-vascular and orthopedic applications such as Vertebroplasty.
In the area of R&F, GE Medical Systems is proud to introduce our brand new classical R&F system, the Precision 500D. This new product continues to deliver excellent performance in terms of Image Quality, Dose Management, Reliability, Productivity and the growing need for DICOM Connectivity.
The heart of the system is a new, advanced image chain and digital system. The Precision 500D also has Pulsed Fluoro and our patented Automatic Exposure Control for dose management. The Precision 500D delivers improved Image Quality and Dose Performance from a leader in the industry, GE Medical Systems.
