GE Medical Systems is a recognized leader in the industry for x-ray technology. At this year's RSNA we will be showcasing technologically advanced products in the areas of Rad, R&F and Mammography.
We continue to make significant strides forward in the newest modality of DIGITAL X-RAY, GE Medical Systems is proud to announce that we have installed our 500th flat panel system. We have expanded the advanced digital technology across the other open segments of Rad, Mammography, and Cardiology. There is a natural progression towards utilizing the detector for additional applications in X-ray.
This year GE Medical Systems is pleased to deliver the first of many advanced clinical applications within Digital Rad. Two advanced applications showcased in the booth are Dual Energy and Tissue Equalization. DR provides physicians with the opportunity for increased confidence from image performance and advanced applications. Advanced applications such as these will differentiate GE's detector technology from film, CR, CCD, and other lower performance digital technologies.
With over 200 3rd party Scientific Publications across the digital x-ray modality, and more than 30 being presented at this years RSNA, GE Medical Systems digital x-ray users are reinforcing our technology with clinical experience. We have incorporated our patented image optimization software - within a totally new imaging system, thus, providing physicians with more consistent images and dose management. This system is also designed to drive enhanced productivity through the utilization of our industry leading ergonomic user interfaces - both tableside and within the control room.
GE Medical Systems' goal in x-ray? To assist physicians in clinical diagnosis and better patient care, and to extend the safety, speed, and cost effectiveness of x-ray to a widening range of lifesaving applications. We look forward to seeing you at RSNA.
