Robert R. Edelman, M.D.
Dr. Edelman is the William B. and Catherine Graham Chair of Radiology at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and Professor of Radiology at Northwestern University School of Medicine. A graduate of Yale University and Boston University School of Medicine, his radiology residency was done at Boston's Beth Israel Hospital and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was clinical director of MRI at Massachusetts General Hospital and subsequently at Beth Israel Hospital, where he was also Associate Radiologist-in-Chief for Academic Affairs and Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Edelman is the immediate Past-President of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the leading international organization involved with biomedical applications of MRI. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and is currently preparing the third edition of the popular text, Clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Dr. Edelman’s current research focus is on making the noninvasive diagnosis of coronary artery disease and other vascular disorders, using advanced MR imaging techniques, an everyday clinical reality. He is also working to implement more accurate imaging methods for early diagnosis of cancer, especially of the colon and breast.
Lawrence N. Tanenbaum, M.D.
Dr. Tanenbaum is the Section Chief in Neuroradiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Computed Tomography at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute, JFK Medical Center-Edison Imaging in Edison, N.J. In addition, he is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Seton Hall University and he is a Lecturer in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, N.Y. Dr. Tanenbaum is an active educator with interests in advanced topics in CT and MR. A senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, Dr. Tanenbaum is a member of the Roster of Distinguished Scientific Advisors of the Radiological Society of North America as well as a number of panels of the American College of Radiology (ACR) including the Expert Panel on Neuroimaging and the CPI / Neuroradiology Expert Review Panel. Dr Tanenbaum currently holds the position of Chairman, Committee on Human Resources of the Commission on Neuroradiology and MRI of the ACR and is a member of the editorial boards of several organizations and scientific journals. An active speaker focusing on the application of advanced techniques in the clinical setting, Dr. Tanenbaum is President-Elect of the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging Society and a charter member of the GE Medical Systems MR and CT Masters Training Programs.
David Weber, Ph.D.
David attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and later transferred to the Columbia University School of Engineering in New York City. He graduated from Columbia University in 1985 with both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering. He also received a Master of Science Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989. David joined GE Medical Systems in Waukesha, Wis., as an Advanced Application Scientist after completing a post-doctoral assignment at UW-Madison in 1992. He moved to the Installed Base MR Software Manager position in 1996. In 1997, he was promoted to the role of Global Manager, MR Advanced Development, and later to Manager of Global MR Growth in 1999. David was appointed to his current position as Manager, Global High Field MR Business, in January 2002.
Mona Theobald
Mona has received an ARRT degree from Abbott Northwestern School of Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Winona State University and Mt. Mary College. Prior to joining GE Medical Systems in 1989, Mona was a radiologic technologist having focused in the areas of CT and MR imaging. She began at GE in the CT business where she was responsible for the Advertising and Sales Support for the CT products. While in CT, she then moved into the role of Sales Support Manager of the ProSpeed product line. In 1992, Mona moved over to the MR Business where she was responsible for the sales and marketing of the Signa 1.5T system. In 1994 she took on the Americas Marketing Manager role for Mammography and in 1996, the organization and role were expanded to include both sales and marketing responsibility along with the creation of the Women’s Imaging Business. In Septmenber of 1997, Mona crossed functions and assumed the role of Region Manager for the Chesapeake LCT moving to Annapolis, Maryland. In 1999, Mona returned to Milwaukee where she led the Alternative Distribution organization as General Manager. Following this role, she moved on to the Position of General Manager of Sales for the Central Zone. In 2001, Mona assumed the role of General Manager of Americas MR Sales and Marketing for the MR business.
