GE Medical Systems and American Diagnostic Medicine Announce Exclusive Technology and Marketing Alliance
for Nuclear Medicine
GE to Provide Broad Functional Imaging Technology Offering to ADM
ATLANTA and CHICAGO -- GE Medical Systems, a business of General Electric (NYSE: GE) and American Diagnostic Medicine (ADM), a leading provider of turnkey diagnostic imaging services, announced that the companies have launched an exclusive, multi-year technology and marketing alliance to promote a program called FirstNuclear.™ The FirstNuclear program provides office-based cardiology practices and multi-speciality clinics with a cost effective, high quality service without the administrative burden, staffing costs and financial risk normally associated with operating a Nuclear Medicine department.
FirstNuclear is a comprehensive solution that provides technical staffing, licensing, radiopharmaceuticals, equipment maintenance and marketing to its customers on a fee-per-exam basis. FirstNuclear turnkey programs will incorporate GE’s Nuclear Medicine imaging systems including Millennium MC, Millennium VG, Millennium MPS, as well as the latest SPECT/CT hybrid imaging systems Hawkeye™ and Discovery™ VH.
“ADM’s foundation has always been focused on technology, education and overall customer service. Our agreement with GE allows us to offer a broad range of products that will best fit the individual needs of our customers and more importantly, continue to maintain the high standard we have established under the FirstNuclear program,” said Anand Kancherlapalli, Co-Founder of American Diagnostic Medicine.
“Nuclear Medicine is used today by Cardiologists and Oncologists for early detection and diagnosis of today's most prevalent diseases,” said Dow Wilson, General Manager of Functional & Molecular Imaging at GE Medical Systems. “Our unique hybrid imaging scanners, Hawkeye and Discovery VH, allow the physiological information from Nuclear Medicine to be paired with the anatomical information from CT to provide physicians with a more accurate view of the disease. Our alliance with ADM will make this technology available to more healthcare organizations and their patients through the FirstNuclear program."
