Cardiac agent that is labeled with technetium-99m. Myoview is indicated for scintigraphic imaging of the myocardium following separate administrations under stress (exercise and/or pharmacologic) and resting conditions in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease. It is useful in the delineation of regions of reversible myocardial ischemia in the presence or absence of infarcted myocardium. Dipyridamole-induced pharmacologic stress may be used as an alternative to exercise in patients who cannot exercise adequately.

Imaging can begin as soon as 15 minutes or up to 4 hours after administration of MYOVIEW, enhancing patient management and department flexibility.

The product was approved in Canada in 1997.
